Simple, easy device to use, but put batteries in the it to protect against lost settings due to power outages.
I bought this because my cat has horrible separation anxiety and well he eats his feeling! I can’t even use the restroom without him getting upset freaking out and you guessed it, food bowl! He had gotten insanely obese! He’s a rather large cat in general just size wise but at 3 years old he is a Whooping 26 pounds and I am highly concerned about his health! I bought this feeder it arrived within 2 days the setup was super simple it goes off on the dot! Our first day was very hard my poor big boy laid by the bowl all night and cried I cried nobody slept! By day two when the beep went off and the food dropped I have never seen him move so fast in his life! So if the timed portioned meals don’t make him lose the weight the running to the bowl sure will! Definitely worth the money and how hassle free it is being able to set up from my phone! Would recommend to anyone!
My cats have gotten bigger, and sharing a food bowl was turning into a fight at every meal. Since getting this feeder, mealtimes have been so much calmer. Really glad I bought it. Thanks
I bought three of these feeders because one of my cats inhales food, steals everyone else’s meals, and occasionally throws up if she overeats. Overall, these feeders have actually worked really well.A couple things worth noting:* I did have to measure the portions myself because the portion sizes vary depending on the kibble. With my Purina kibble, 3 portions is about 2 tablespoons, so I adjusted my feeding schedule based on that instead of relying on the manual.* Honestly pretty often the scheduled feedings is delayed from the exact set time, but I’ve found it always dispenses the correct amount over the course of the day. My cats have never missed a meal because of it, so it’s not a huge deal to me.Now for the important part.My smallest cat, Pixie (10/10 adorable, 0/10 respect for the law), has apparently decided to reverse engineer the feeder. She repeatedly MMA fights the feeder until the food tray pops off and slides across the room. Once the tray has been successfully launched into another zip code, she body-checks the feeder, pushes it as far as the power cord will allow, knocks it onto its side, and occasionally smacks the manual feed button for bonus kibble.Meanwhile, my other two cats don’t try to stop her. They literally sit there and watch.I’m convinced they’re cheering her on.As soon as Pixie successfully defeats the machine, kibble rains directly onto the floor because the bowl is somewhere across the room, and all three cats sprint over to enjoy the buffet they absolutely did not earn.At this point, I’m not fighting one cat. I’m fighting a coordinated criminal enterprise. To be clear, the feeder works exactly as advertised. The problem is that apparently I adopted a tiny engineer with the morals of a raccoon.Would absolutely buy again.Would also recommend stronger security if your cat has opposable thumbs in spirit.
Good quality.
I've been running two of these feeders for about a year now and I'm VERY happy with them. They are simple and easy to use. I live in a rural area and when we have power outages they just keep working (make sure to have back-up batteries installed!) unlike my much fancier robot feeder that cost nearly three times as much. One of the feeders I use indoors and one outdoors for my feral barn cats. One night two raccoons climbed up onto the feeding table on the porch and tried to get into the feeder. They knocked it off the table but the lid stayed secure and their attempts to rob the food were thwarted. So that was a huge positive for me.The feeder beeps just before dropping food which your cat will quickly become attuned to and go running toward it at meal time. I really like that I can set it for different portion sizes at different times of day. And with the phone app you can easily drop any number of additional portions at any time remotely. The food tray is easy for a human to remove to wash, yet difficult for a cat to knock loose. My cat's have never knocked it loose.I am so happy with how these feeders work, and so frustrated with the expensive tall white robot feeder I was using that I just ordered my third IMIPAW feeder to replace the robot. I will sleep better at night while I am out on the road traveling and unable to reset the robot; never once have I had to do any resets for these feeders. I highly recommend these to anybody who has a schedule that doesn't allow them to be home when the cats need feeding.
Works well for the most part, however it will occasionally not feed your cat, without notice. For example, if your power fails briefly and then comes back on, the feeder defaults to not feeding rather than feeding, which doesn't make much sense. Much worse, I have had the feeder fail to serve a portion because the phone app was waiting for me to enable it to send me marketing messages. That is unacceptable, and I hope the company will remove this conditional prompt. I only noticed because my cat was not fed and I opened the app, only to see a mandatory dialog requesting me to opt into "personalized messages". No.
Works great. Does not hold all kibble sizes. Medicated, Hills cat food was too big.
Super easy to set up and use. Have never had an issue with how it runs and my cats never miss a feeding.
Stopped working after 34 days and didn’t give me an error message so my cat was just going unfed. Supplier won’t answer my requests for help, troubleshooting, nor a replacement through the app. It’s 8 days past the Amazon warranty so I can’t replace it or get a refund there either. Waste of $55 that should’ve gone to a brand with actual support.
This feeder has been the perfect solution for leaving my pets alone while I work and feeding them remotely via the app on my phone. It's excellent quality; even when the signal fails, it emits a sound that my pets recognize as a feeding time. I'm in love with this product.
Easy to blue tooth to wireless. Nice that I can set it for any amount of daily feedings or push the button on my phone and watch kitty on a camera when we are on vacation. Have had it for over a year and it has been very reliable.
Absolutely love this product works great. Would recommend it for anybody. My cat absolutely loves. It helps regulate my cat food how much she eats when she eats helped her lose some weight app is severely easy to use. Would recommend this for anybody
esta bien, falta informacion sobre por ejemplo cuantos gramos aproximadamente tiene cad "set" para poder programar la comida de forma mas eficiente, tambien seria bueno poder detectar cuando se acaba la comida con un sensor
I love this feeder. I actually use it for my dog. Make sure to find the right size kibbleI. I love that I can program it and can control it from my phone. This is especially helpful when you have a pet that constantly begs for food. The food is delivered at the same time and the same amount and it’s not coming from ME = no more begging. It beeps when it dispenses the food. I wish I could turn that off. I also wish that it held more food but it’s adequate. The only thing that would make this better is if it sent a notification when it was out of food.
I'm a sucker for cats. When a mama and her baby should up on the back deck at the beginning of winter I knew I had to do something. They wouldn't come to me or let me bring them in so I carved an old cooler into an outdoor kennel with pet heating pad and got this baby for the baby. I can feed them on a schedule, give them extra anytime I want, and see them eating with the camera. They seem to love it. It's been out in temps as low as 12F and has still been working well. All the features appear top notch with the attached lid, even a compartment for a dessicant so the food doesn't get damp and gum it up. The app works very well indeed. It's been cat approved.
It's terrific. Highly recommend.I had Petlibro model without wifi that died after a year or two, with a loud endless beep. It was a pain to program. Its feeding amounts were larger so I couldn't schedule as many feedings. The hopper was opaque with a narrow opening to put the food in.The Imipaw is easy to program on your phone. You can feed really small amounts, so you can give your cat lots of feedings without making him fat. It's a simple clear plastic hopper with the mechanism easy to see and, if necessary (I haven't needed to) clean at the bottom. It's a good clean design.
Wi-fi set up on your 2.4Ghz band. Easy to set connection and feeding times. Some features are not clear. I tested ahead of time to be certain. Once setup lock the feeder for automatic feeding schedule to work. The slider button in the top right of the app is the lock. Test this by short press of microphone. If no message is heard - either it is locked or you haven't recorded one yet. Record one and try again. You can also lock manually from the front of the feeder. Dropped one star for lack of clear directions. I followed guidance from other reviews to get it successfully working. Someone said 3 portions per meal = 2 tbsp, however I put 1/3 cup (5.33 tbsp) of food into food tank, set test feeding to 9 portions and there was still about a tbsp left in the food tank after dispensing. That may help you figure out how much to set it for. I'm personally taking this opportunity to space out the feeding throughout the day, as cats prefer several smaller meals rather than one large meal. 6:30am 3 portions, 9am 4 portions, noon 3 portions. At night my cat gets wet food, so no feeding from the auto-feeder after noon.
Here are instructions that work. The feeder takes 5-minutes to set up...but 30-minutes to understand the broken English!Company and App is PetTechSet up your account and passwordSelect your WiFi and it must be the same WiFi that your phone is connected to.Add the feeder to your WiFi account through the PetTech AppLid latches - press on either side. Spring loaded latches - nice.NOTE: Battery backup retains schedule and recording even without WiFi. If the power is out the WiFi is probably out as well. A red indicator on the feeder blinks to show the batteries are low.Set up feeding schedule from App:Select MEAL PLAN - Defaults to every day of the week. Every day should be green...if you want every daySchedule each meal event. It is 24-hour military time.FEED NUMBER - this should really be written “Feed Portions” Three (3) portions equals two (2) tablespoons“SAVE”“ADD”Set up additional feed events per day. For example one at 8:30 + 3 and another at 17:30 +3Switch button to Green for each scheduled feeding eventRecord a message to occur at feeding event:UNLOCK the feederShort press MICROPHONE icon to hear any message that exists.New Message - Long Press MICROPHONE button … One Beep start recording …Two beeps recording is over. You have 10-seconds of record time.If the feeder is locked you will not be able to hear any message previously recorded either.Locking the feeder:Twice Short Press the FEED button on the feeder.. If one portion comes out the feeder is UNLOCKED. If the FEED button doesn’t work then the feeder is locked. OR Short Press the MICROPHONE button.
